The cuticle is a layer of clear skin located along the bottom edge of your finger or toe. This area is known as the nail bed. The cuticle function is to protect new nails from bacteria when they grow out from the nail root. The area around the cuticle is delicate. It can get dry, damaged, and infected.
Grab OPI Exfoliating Cuticle Cream and apply a small amount to each cuticle. Leave it on for at least 30 seconds. Take a cuticle stick and push back the eponychium to reveal true cuticle on each nail. Once you’re done, wipe away the excess.
These birchwood cuticle sticks are beveled on one end and pointed on the other. Made from 100% Birchwood to assure ultimate comfort and strength.
How do you use wood cuticle sticks?
Wrap beveled end of cuticle stick with cotton and gently push back and shape cuticles. Cut off any hang nails and stray strands of skin or ragged edges of the cuticle with a cuticle nipper or cuticle scissors. Use the pointed end of the cuticle stick to carefully clean under nails.
Why do you push back your cuticles?
Cuticle pushing is usually done to expose the nail plate section that is covered with overgrown cuticles. These cuticles stick to the nail plate because of external factors such as dry cold weather, harsh chemical contact, or a habit of using hot water to wash hands.
